Privacy Policy

PunchKit does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
This page is maintained by the PunchKit team to answer common privacy questions about the PunchKit iOS app. It describes the app's current behavior. PunchKit is an independent companion app and is not affiliated with Teenage Engineering.
Data we collect
None. PunchKit has no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier, and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
Where your content lives
All projects, samples, recordings, backups, and app settings are stored locally on your device or, at your choice, in your own iCloud or Files locations. Nothing is uploaded to a PunchKit server because there is no PunchKit server.
When you connect an EP-133 K.O. II via USB-C, PunchKit reads and writes data directly between the device and your iPhone or iPad. That traffic never leaves the cable.
Permissions we request
- Microphone / audio input — only when you use the Recorder to capture audio. Audio is written to local files you control.
- Files access — to import samples and export takes or backups to locations you pick.
- USB / external accessory — to talk to the connected EP-133 K.O. II device.
Third-party services
PunchKit does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, which has its own privacy practices that apply to the download itself.
Children
PunchKit is a music production tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Because PunchKit does not collect or store personal data off-device, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. To remove your content, delete the app or remove the relevant files from your device or chosen storage location.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behavior ever changes — for example, if an optional cloud feature is added — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change.
